New grant awarded to study social network medication safety intervention

Dr. Holden is the Principal Investigator (PI) of a new project applying social network science to study and improve the change in medication safety awareness and behavior. The project is a partnership between the IU Center for Aging Research (Drs. Holden, Campbell, Boustani, and Monahan) and the IU Network Science Institute (Drs. Holden, Boustani, Bateman awarded 2 NIH grants on technology for dementia caregivers

The two grants, the ICARE trial (R21, Holden and Boustani) and MOMENT trial (K23, Bateman) from the National Institute on Aging, will study whether use of the Brain CareNotes app is feasible, usable, and effective for reducing behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia.
