Dr. Holden will announce the winner of this year's HFES Mobile Health Student Design Competition at the 2018 HFES Healthcare Symposium, taking place this year on March 26-28 in Boston, MA. The annual competition rewards students and student teams for projects using human factors methods in the healthcare space with several cash prizes. Dr. Holden has been named editor of Ergonomics, a journal publishing high-quality human factors-related research. The current editorial board of Ergonomics can be consulted on its website.

Dr. Holden, director of the Health Innovation Lab (HIL), will be at CHIM'18 (Consumer Health Informatics in the Midwest) to give a talk about minimally disruptive remote health data collection using portable activity tracking, passive sensing, and smart buttons. Additionally, Victor Cornet, HIL Ph.D. student, will be presenting a poster about his dissertation proposal. 

Victor Cornet, PhD student in the Health Innovation Lab, and Dr. Holden wrote a systematic review of applications of smartphone-based passive sensing for health and wellbeing, published in the Journal of Biomedical Informatics.
