Dr. Richard J. Holden to Head Department of Health & Wellness Design, IU School of Public Health-Bloomington

Dr. Holden is the Principal Investigator (PI) of a new project applying social network science to study and improve the change in medication safety awareness and behavior. The project is a partnership between the IU Center for Aging Research (Drs. Holden, Campbell, Boustani, and Monahan) and the IU Network Science Institute (Drs. Eddens, Krendl). The R2D2 trial is an R01 led by Dr. Noll Campbell of the Purdue College of Pharmacy. It will test a pharmacy-based anticholinergic deprescribing intervention for older adults. Campbell co-directs the Brain Safety Lab with Dr. Holden.
