I was born in Wisconsin and I grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Through my work with Parkview Research Center I have developed an interest in helping people manage and understand their health, particularly in the area of cardiology. Recognizing that technology can provide people with access to information and empowerment, I pursued education in Health Informatics which led me to the PhD program at IUPUI.
I do research in the area of technology and health, investigating ways that people can use technology to learn, grow, and enhance quality of life.
I bring energy and enthusiasm to projects.
My hobbies involve physical fitness activities, nutrition, animals, music, and art. I love connecting music, movement, and physicality with the mind and personal expression. I have two dogs and I enjoy walks with them. I am also a birder!
