Health Innovation Lab (HIL) alumna Dr. Preethi Srinivas and HIL director Dr. Rich Holden are co-PIs of a Regenstrief Innovation Challenge grant called HAPPY MEDIUM. The project is a 12-month study of a “medium-tech” intervention to reduce the use of over-the-counter medications with adverse cognitive effects among older adults. Medium-tech combines familiar physical objects such as paper and cloth with electronic components (e.g., circuits, sensors, LED lights) to maximize the ease of use and usefulness of a product.
